This book is a smart purchase!
After reading this book, I am convinced that permaculture is a win for everybody and everything on the planet! The Practical Permaculture Project gives a generous, well-rounded account of permaculture gardening, and it shows that it’s more than possible for just about anybody to grow his or her own fresh, nutritious foods, working with Mother Nature, whether the gardener has a few acres or just a few feet to work with. I am very happy to have purchased The Practical Permaculture Project!
Perfect choice
I have my own garden, and I was looking for a book that can explain the basics of the organic approach. This book was a perfect choice – I really enjoyed reading it, and it was full of practical tips&tricks. I will use my new guide to build my garden beds and optimize the space I have – already this spring!
 Insightful and inspiring
This book came and gave my mom and dad awesome ideas for their home garden! They have been building it themselves for quite a while but they now have a much better understanding of how to do it so much more efficiently!
They are retired and beginners but this book has been really helpful to plan everything out. As a son, I love how much they are into this whole new lifestyle! It’s very therapeutic!
 A Must-Have in a Permaculture Library
I have read many permaculture books. A lot of them pile on a lot of theory but when it comes to putting this art into practice, the examples are few. This book was wonderfully simplistic with examples that made me feel like I could put everything I need into practice. Thank you. Well Done!
Fantastic introduction to permaculture!
Sophie’s book is a great introduction to permaculture history and know-how and the steps about working together with nature to develop your own vitality and sustenance.
The writing is very easy to understand and Sophie relates her own personal experiences which make you feel like “I can do this too!”
We have recently established a compost tumbler and several worm farms to recycle our household organic waste and prevent it from going to landfill.
Looking forward to using the worm castings in our vegetable garden following the steps in Sophie’s book.
The best permaculture step-by-step guide I have come across
The book is very well structured and presents an easy-to-follow guide on how to utilize the best ideas of what permaculture has to offer. We ended up building a raised bed following the steps described in the book. I highly recommend it for all permaculture enthusiasts.
Informative read!
Have been a gardener my whole life (65 years) and I am still learning. The Practical Permaculture Project is a must-read for us old farts and especially for people just getting into gardening and such. Thank you, Sophie!!!
Highly recommend this book!
have been looking for a book for awhile that could help me start learning about permaculture – finally, this book is the one I have been looking for! I tried other permaculture books, but they were too long, dry, and overcomplicated to the point of almost scaring me away from trying permaculture altogether. The Practical Permaculture Project is a well-written, easy-to-read book with tons of helpful, practical information. It’s what I was looking for – an excellent overview of all areas and methods that I can implement immediately in my garden. I also love the positive tone and hand-drawn, detailed illustrations – I can tell a lot of time and effort went into creating this book. It’s definitely a must-have for everyone who is looking for a practical overview and those who enjoy connecting to nature through gardening.
